Canal Season is Here!
The NYS Canal system opened for the 2024 season the past May. In the coming summer months, the team will be distributing materials at canalside events and asking for your input on the plan. Subscribe to the project email list to get regular updates about upcoming events in your region.
March Tour - Thank You
The planning team embarked on a whirlwind tour of the canal system in March 2024 where we met with NYS Canal Corporation and NY Power Authority staff, Canal Recreationway Commission members, and a few key stakeholders along the canal. Thank you to all of the local leaders, on-site staff, and nearby residents who generously spoke with us during that process!
